Sustainability

How we think about waste, packaging and product life.

This page needs your input before launch. Environmental claims are regulated: the CMA’s Green Claims Code and the ASA both take a dim view of vague or unevidenced statements. Nothing has been written for you here, because a sustainability page full of invented commitments is worse than no page at all. The headings below are the ones customers actually look for.

Packaging

What your outer packaging and void fill are made from, and whether they are recyclable.

Deliveries

How orders are consolidated, and anything you do to reduce delivery miles.

Product life and repair

Spare parts and consumables you stock, and any advice you offer on keeping tools working rather than replacing them.

Waste electricals and batteries

UK retailers selling electrical goods and batteries have obligations under the WEEE and Batteries Regulations, including take-back. Set out here how a customer disposes of an old tool or battery through you.

Timber and materials

Any certification (for example FSC or PEFC) that applies to the timber products you sell.

In the meantime, if sustainability matters to your buying decision, ask us about a specific product and we will tell you what we know.
