Why is MyDIY cheaper than the high street?
We run a lean online-only operation and pass the difference on. Every product page shows our price next to the price we have read from other UK retailers, so you can see the difference rather than take our word for it.
Are these the same products the big retailers sell?
Yes. A comparison only appears when it is the same manufacturer, same model and same pack size. If a retailer sells a different size or specification, we do not treat it as a match and it is left out.
Where do the competitor prices come from?
They are read from the retailers' own public product pages by a tool we run and maintain. Nothing is estimated and nothing is supplied by the retailers. If we cannot read a genuine price, that retailer does not appear for that product.
Do the prices include VAT?
Yes. Every price on MyDIY, ours and our competitors', includes VAT. Where a trade merchant lists prices excluding VAT on its own site, we add VAT before comparing.
What if MyDIY is not the cheapest?
Then we do not claim a saving. No badge and no "you save" line appear. The comparison table still shows every price we hold so you can judge for yourself.
Can I return something?
Yes. As a consumer buying online you have 14 days from delivery to tell us you want to cancel and a further 14 days to send the goods back. See our returns page for how to arrange it.
Do I need an account to order?
No. You can check out as a guest. Creating an account lets you track orders, save addresses and keep a list of favourites.
I think a price is wrong. What should I do?
Please tell us. Send us the product name and what you have seen elsewhere and we will check it. Retailers change prices constantly, so we would rather hear about it.
