Fire Board Tapered Edge Fire Resistant Plasterboard 2400 x 1200 x 12.5mm is a specialist plasterboard designed for use as part of wall and ceiling systems where enhanced fire performance is required. Its reinforced gypsum core provides improved fire resistance compared with standard wallboard when incorporated into a correctly specified and installed fire-rated system.

At 15mm thick and 2400 x 1200mm in size, this full-size fire-resistant plasterboard is commonly used for partition walls, ceilings, separating walls, corridors, garages and other areas where increased fire protection is required.

The tapered edge profile creates a shallow recess along the adjoining edges of the boards, providing space for jointing tape and jointing compound. This allows joints to be filled and blended into the surrounding board surface, creating a smooth finish suitable for subsequent decoration without necessarily requiring a full skim coat.

Fire Board can be installed onto compatible timber or metal framing using the appropriate fixings and components specified for the required system. It is suitable for new-build construction as well as extensions, conversions and refurbishment projects.
